![]() This year you can start a young person on the journey to fulfilling his or her dream of living in a safe environment and having the chance to build a future full of hope.
Growing-up in places troubled by ongoing conflict, it is easy for young people to perpetuate the cycle of violence they encounter in the media and in their communities. In this environment, they rarely realize that they have the power to change their world.
Founded in 2007, Peace in Focus is a global non-profit organization that builds critical life skills and healthy relationships among youth from communities afflicted by violence and transition. Through our photography and leadership training programs, we provide underprivileged youth with innovative tools to resolve conflict, tell their stories, break through stereotypes, and find common ground. Alumni of our programs tackle critical social issues and promote change through youth-led photography exhibits, peace journals, photo essays, interactive blogs, and local media outlets. They then become part of our global network of youth leaders.
Some of our key partners and supporters include: Americorps, the Clinton Global Initiative, Harvard University, Mass Impact, Roots & Shoots, Tufts University, and the United Nations. Visionary $500 + Ambassador $250 – 499 Peacebuilder $100 – 249 Supporter $20 – 99 As we enter the Season of Peace, our experience training young leaders in Boston, Burundi, and Liberia has strengthened our resolve to continue developing non-violent and creative solutions to complex global challenges. As a 501(c)(3) public charity organization, we rely greatly on your tax-exempt donations to keep these programs running. We thank you for your generous support and look forward to keeping you updated on our progress. Warmest Wishes, Peace in Focus Co-Founders: Kyle Dietrich & Kate Fedosova P.S. Please don’t delay.
